Okay, I officially miss running. I fell out of the habit in mid-October when I was travelling, and then it was cold, and then I got a cold, and now it is still cold (actually colder) but my cold is getting better.

Question for any runners or similar athletes: after a month of laziness, what's the best way to get back in the swing of things? I was seven weeks into the Zombies, Run! 5K training app, and I'm quite sure I can't just jump back in where I left off. (The skipping alone will kill me.) Do I need to start all the way at the beginning? Is there a formula for how much progress you lose?

I never really had a formula, but you might want to have a "test" day. I don't run any more, but to get back into my pull ups and push ups, I would do a test of where I felt comfortable, on the edge of being too much, last time I exercised, and see where I felt after do that.

So, if you felt okay doing week 4 without a struggle, maybe try that? And if that is okay, next run day, do start of week 5, see if that is a good place.

I did the same thing, except a little further back. I went back to do some missions from season 1 to re-season myself. Then maybe try the week before, see where you're at?
