*warm fuzzies* You remember how I reacted when I realized that we had a Charles in the bar, yeah? XD Much, much L'Engle 'verse love from over here. I'm in total agreement with you about the Austin books, though. Is it just me, or did they... lack something, some depth, compared to the Murry family books? The tidbit of information that General Gwydyr took power in Vespugia in a bloody revolution did stick with me from the Austin end of the series, however. I always wondered what happened in the wake of that uprising, especially since it relates directly back to A Swiftly Tilting Planet and Charles Wallace's experiences. Dark days in Puerto Williams, meep.

... This is me wanting to see more written about that lovely Welsh colony in whatever way I can, I admit it. *massively biased* Anyhow. aha! I'm not the only one who's wondered where the heck Charles Wallace went later on in the series. Kudos to you for going there in Millicanon. And... um. I have a sudden urge to play the Taos!Sariel I've been pondering off of Taos!Charles. Gotta love AUs, hm?

I'd actually meant to ask you before I did anything with Taos!Sariel, seeing as... well... it's pretty much your corner of the multiverse. If you're cool with my going there in an AU, then whee! I'd love the chance to play Taos!Sariel off any one of the other kids.

I think the Austin books just lacked the fantasy that the Time Quartet has, mostly, and the fantasy allows for such interesting and deep exploration of all kinds of things that reality doesn't.

Taos!Sariel? I smell defy_ka!

I think you're right, at least for the most part. there were hints, in the Austin books, of the same sort of fantasy, but not on nearly the same level as the original quartet. *has the urge to fish her copy of A Swiftly Tilting Planet out again* :)

Hmm. defy_ka? Sniff, sniff, sniiiiff... aha! I think I smell the same thing! I need to get my behind over there.
