1. Temporarily derailing a fannish conversation (and now, of course, I can't remember which fandom it was. Bah) with theoretical analysis of the topic.
2. Physical incapability to watch Rent without taking notes.
3. Notes include, alongside WTF was that glitter Mimi is not Raven and Roger's voice is too angry rock for this, phrases like Audience participation of Over the Moon - Mark's breaking 4th wall - is this alienation?, Contact & I'll Cover You - Angel's death - intensely theatrical, and Audience: a lot of college-age, give or take 5 yrs, and then middle-aged socialites. Who does this play speak to? Who did it originally speak to? Does the audience makeup mean that it's lost its impact, ability to shock?
4. Ridiculous excitement at the mention of Carnegie Mellon in an actor's bio; serious consideration of staying after show just to say "HI I GO TO YOUR SCHOOL, DID YOU KNOW [teacher]" to this ensemble member.

I took five or six cinematography classes through out my undergraduate. I can not watch anything on the tv--be it movie, tv episode, season arc, mini series, maxi series, documentary, even the news--with critiquing the light and how the camera moves and what that angle means and on and on.
Besides I love you more for #1. People who do this are just so cool.
