Everyone has snow but us. :( We have rain. Although it's nice that it's not face-numbingly cold and windy today.

I auditioned for Proof this morning, and I think it went well; the director and I talked a little about Angels in America (my back pocket contemp dramatic monologue is Harper) and the HBO miniseries, and I didn't forget any lines, and the cold read felt really good.

Fingers crossed so hard. SO hard.

And now I'm procrastinating on getting to work. I should really eat lunch, and maybe go by the libraries to pick up some books on Orientalism and return the books I was reading over break.

1. Re-write letter to Liz Bradley, addressing casting concerns especially.

2. Expand Oedipus paper so that it has at least another page in it.

3. 5:30 PM Dramaturgy meeting.

4. 9 PM Tin Man premiere.

Enough to be going on with.

I spent some of this morning poking around Wikipedia's lists of endangered and extinct animals (research for [livejournal.com profile] 2020sight). Tasmanian Tigers are still awesome, but OH GOD THEIR JAWS. Shades of the Hellhounds. *shudder*

Actually, I wonder if that's what the SPN folks were using for reference. *thoughtful*

GAH. It's sort of like those shots of the Uruk-hai at Helm's Deep, all roaring and all you can see is MOUTH and yeep! It looks so cuddly otherwise!

Also.

Well, they can't all be winners. But points for effort! And for making us laugh.

TASMANIAN TIGERS ARE AWESOME! And slinky fun. And I still mantain that Epimetheus was ON something when he designed Australian animals (meat-eating kangaroo, anyone?)

And sadly that picture just made me go 'eeeeee'.

I love Tassie Tigers. And they are totally not extinct. Otherwise it's all too depressing.

Also? We have no snow, if it makes you feel any better.

There are way too many extinct animals that are TOTALLY AWESOME.

...Even if, okay, some of them are more awesome from a distance.
