Sorry, "Shakespeare Code," I call foul -- the Globe would never have done performances after nightfall, because they didn't have stage lighting. They performed in the afternoons.

But I'll let it slip, because, SHAKESPEARE AND DOCTOR WHO. And references all over the freaking place! What could be better?

ETA: Also? I agree with the Doctor. "Oo, Martha Jones, I like you." Nothing like competent women. *hugs her and her medical background*

Also, they filmed the Globe scenes in the new Globe Theater. Which Batya and I toured lat January. So we could turn to each other and say "hey, we were there!"

Also, hard not to love a plot built on Love's Labours Won.

There's a lovely scene, set - IIRC - during the First World War, where Martha's posing as a housemaid for various reasons and dealing with a housekeeper who refuses to believe she's a medical student (because, you know, black woman in about 1915, not possible), so she holds up her hand and rattles off the names of all the bones in it.

It made me grin.
