DAMMIT. I had this amazing Young Wizards/who the hell knows dream this morning and now I can't remember the plot. There was a part where . . . there was a part where, I could swear, it was about either Frodo or Sam -- Sam, I'm pretty sure -- in disguise as some kind of goblin, with a whole group of other people disguised as goblins behind him. And then it wasn't Frodo or Sam in disguise, but Nita, headed for a showdown with the Lone Power, and she knew without a shadow of a doubt that It would recognize her, and she was sort of resigned to it. That's Life, huh.

And then there was a showdown in this big castle-y great hall kind of room, and Nita and Dairine were captured, just like Nita knew they would be. They were standing there, hands tied, and one of Its minions (human, male, classic skeevy bad guy minion) was coming towards them to dispatch them, starting with Nita -- and she gave him this very calm, wide-eyed innocent look, and he just flipped backwards out of frame.

And then Nita took her hands out from behind her back, untied, and started throwing around some freaking AWESOME special effects, all calm-as-you-please -- one hand, sheet of ripply translucent gold power, one hand, sheet of translucent white power, and then she had Dairine under a dome shield and was scrambling up to the top of it, where the shield was keyed to soften and let her in (which, in retrospect, is an incredibly silly design for a shield spell, but whatever). I think at that point, Kit and Ronan showed up, too.

OH. There was something earlier -- not earlier in the dream, I think, but earlier in the storyline -- where Nita and Ronan were clearly becoming an item. And when Nita was facing down the Lone Power, it said something that made her realize, That's why Ronan was so worried about how he looked, back in the idyllic part of the plot (status quo, as my drama profs would say, in the opening beat), he wanted to look good when we went to dinner.

My ship invades dreams. *facepalm* But it was INCREDIBLY SWEET RLY.

Anyway, my alarm clock went off -- actually before most of this happened, I think -- and I went "NOOO THEY BE STEALIN MY CLIMACTIC SCENE," whacked it into submission, and dreamt the rest of this in four-minute segments between snooze alarms.
