The poor cat managed to scrape up one of his pads -- heck if we know how -- which meant subjecting him to a trip to the vet's yesterday, and subjecting us to trying to get him into the carrier. At least he didn't put claws through anyone this time, but we didn't manage to keep him from -- ah -- evacuating all over the place.

The vet thinks it's probably nothing to be concerned over, but we are giving him liquid antibiotics once a day, which means subjecting him to more indignities by catching him, holding him down, and squirting foul-tasting (I'm guessing) stuff into his mouth. I can't decide whether to feel sorry for him or think it's all too amusing for words. Mostly I go with feeling sorry; I'm too empathetic for my own good. At the moment he's hiding behind a couch to avoid any further torture.

Yesterday I started on my own new meds, too -- Singulair in my case. Hopefully it'll help with both the asthma and the allergies.

Also also, I got my real driver's license! :D

And as for right now, I'm home from a long, vaguely frustrating karate class, and I'm eating sushi and wildly misjudging the amount of wasabi. Agh my sinuses.

I also saw a play yesterday called The Perfect Prayer, which I'm going to write a more detailed reaction to later.

Is the liquid antibiotic stuff bright, bubblegum pink? If it is, its a variant of the same stuff I had to take as a kid. And we figured out a trick for giving it to our cats--

My dad starting spoiling our cats, by letting them clean his icecream bowl, when he was done with it. So- I get a spoonfull of icecream, mush it up on a plate, put the antibiotics on that- and the cats will eat it up then, no problems!
