The entrance of DL has made Niki's story considerably more interesting to me. Even if he is kind of highly creepy, and even if I do keep thinking he's the Haitian.

I think the thing about Niki's story that turns me off is that it seems less like a power and more like a psychosis. She might as well be the Green Goblin. Though I do very much like the cuts from Niki to Niki, skipping the scenes with Jessica ascendent.

I drove for the first time today. Liiiittle bit terrifying.

Just when life ought to be simplifying, it seems to have abruptly become more complicated -- not in scheduling terms, for once, although to a certain extent it's that. More in terms of everything's changing, suddenly, and it's extraordinarily uncomfortable.

Wish I had superpowers to help deal with it. Claire's got it lucky.

I'm firmly in the "Niki's actual power is superstrength, and the Jessica issues are something she'd have anyway, and the reason only Jessica can use the superstrength right now is that Niki's too freaked out by it to embrace it" camp. Because being crazy should not be a superpower/having a superpower should not make you crazy. And because if the only way one of the show's few female characters can have superstrength is by also being a psychobitch, it kind of makes me go "...uh."

Hoping for an eventual resolution there is a lot of what keeps me interested in her, even when her storyline drags.
