What's the title for people who can control the elements, are bound by an oath to not harm anything living unless threatened, always tell the truth, and draw their abilities from the One Power?

YES! Damane is so like *FLAILS* and Liandrin is a character I so wanted to punch. Her and the Whitecloaks. Actually, there's a lot of people in WoT that I wanted to hurt - hee.

I always found the a'dam incredibly creepy. Which, yes, is why I put one in Will's waking nightmare.

I kind of find it creepy in a different way now (that's in addition, not instead), but we'll maybe talk about that after you've read more of the series. :)

One of these days I need to go back and read the Nyarlathotep plot, now that I know the characters; I caught the tail end of it when I first joined. I do still think of it as the pinnacle of bar-wide plots.
