Me = Awesome.
Mar. 19th, 2008 08:42 amWhy did I not post about this last night? I was busting with glee, lemme tell you. This is the story of Me Being Awesome.
( So I'm in this Topics in Art History class. (Backstory) )
Well. I finally got to see my grade on that (18 page) paper last night.
Not only did I get an A, but she liked it so much she asked to keep it.
And that is why I am AWESOME, today.
In totally unrelated news, I am vaguely obsessed with the copy of "Let The River Run" I have -- a cappella choral. I looked it up on YouTube the other day and discovered that it's actually an '80s Carly Simon rock song, which cracks me right up because my version is so . . . so solemn, and reverent, yet it has a lot of the joy and exuberance of the original.
None of the big hair or shoulder pads, though.
Now that I've read the lyrics, it's also one of the few songs I have that I feel really works for the Young Wizards series. Because . . . it really works. We're coming to the edge, running on the water / Coming through the fog, your sons and daughters . . .
I'm in a good mood. Neither gray, nor damp, nor time of month can keep me from my appointed joy.
