1273 words written already today in what Chez Coffee is calling JaNoWriMo!

I'm not entirely keeping up with my 1000 words a day goal -- well, I might be, but it's such a goddamn hassle to count words in RP threads. But I feel good about what I'm writing!

Oh, man, I had a dream this morning that starred Batman, the Tenth Doctor, Judi Dench, and the freaking Tofu Monster.

And now I only vaguely remember the plot that tied them all together, but I assure you it was awesome.

I also had some kind of idea for a short Supernatural trailer/vid involving the idea of prayer not being enough, but that's rather macabre for a Saturday morning.

OH. On the subject of Supernatural, though -- "On Your Porch" is totally a Winchester boy's song, and I'd love to vid it, but the POV would have to switch back and forth and I'm not sure that works with such a single-narrator song.

Plans for today:

1. Pull out my bike and tune it up. My plan is to go to karate a couple times a week and bike as much as I can to stay in some kind of shape.

2. Kaladi's Coffee.

3. Love the cat.

4. Unpack. Maybe. Some.

5. Dinner at Yak & Yeti (I'm so getting pictures).

6. Get the next bit of SPN/YW finished. *hums*

It's a gorgeous day out.

I have officially lost weight, and am down to about 122 pounds. The goal is 120, but I'm pretty pleased here.

\o/

Now, I have two papers to write this weekend, as mentioned, so as soon as my laundry's in the dryer I'm packing up and relocating to Starbucks for the day. Whoohoo.

PS: I find it kiiiiind of hilarious that this House ep has a karate black belt named Addie. >.>

OH MY GOD.

HOLY SHIT. HOLY SHIT, GUYS. HO. LEE. SHIT.

I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN. I knew given enough time this would happen.

I HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE UNREGISTERED. I can't register to vote in PA, I'll lose my student loans and my permanent fund dividend. And I guess if I can't find someone unregistered, I'll have to show up at 4:45 and wait around afterwards and try to get a picture and be like "HI, ZACHARY QUINTO. Will you sign this thing for my friend (formerly) at UPitt who couldn't be here today? :DDDD ALSO HERE HAVE A PAPER PENGUIN."

Or something along those lines. FUCK, I DON'T KNOW. HOLY CRAP, GUYS.

Suddenly every cool thing in the WORLD is happening at once. Kate Bornstein is gonna be at UPitt next week; I was just told today about the Rhodopi Theatre Collective, which creates theatrical pieces based on myths every summer in the mountains of Bulgaria, around Thrace; I'm trying to make mp3s to audition for Buffy Between the Lines; and ZACH QUINTO is going to be here tomorrow. I just. Holy crap.

And I don't have work this afternoon, so I have a few hours where I can either do fun stuff or responsible stuff, or both!, while I have energy.

My resolution for the last two months of school is to do all those responsible things I always mean to do: eat breakfast, meditate at least in the mornings, floss, stay ahead of my homework and do all my readings.

So far I've eaten a (insufficient) bowl of oatmeal and meditated, and am behind on readings already. Go me. *dry*

Still, I feel good. I'll get more food on my way to class, right about now.

*flops down with a groan*

I've had better karate classes.

I've also had worse -- see posts from June where I was coming home from private lessons in tears -- but this may be in my top ten. I mean, any class where you have to leave the mats during warmups is not good. To be fair to myself, Mr. Bradford and Ms. Carmichael were working us harder than normal ("It's the last workout of 2006!"), and Ms. Carmichael was the one who told me to go get some water -- I would have just hunkered there trying to catch my breath for a while, happily, because it would mean I wasn't doing sprints. But going and sitting in the locker room with some water and thinking Wow, it would be really bad if I passed out right now, so I won't, was probably better for me. And also meant I wasn't doing sprints, which, at the time, was the important point.

And I didn't pass out, and I didn't get sick, and after those really bad minutes, it got better. So.

This doesn't change the fact that I'm woefully out of shape. Thus, the first resolution of the new year: get to karate class at least twice a week. That should be enough for me to maintain some measure of in-shape-ness, if not actually improve.

In the shorter term, though, the goal for today is get teacher recs bundled up and mailed out.
