If it helps at all, Sariel's wondered more than once just where Valerie's gone. I'd sort of assumed that she was around off-camera seeing as, well, she's bound, and that Sariel just hadn't run into her. *earperks* At the labyrinth possibility, ooooh. That could be interesting!
As for that nightmare... I have to say, I've always thought that was a brilliant OOM. I admit, bits of it got me thinking along the lines that eventually led to Sariel's own nightmare during that plot. *salutes!*
