→ why I decided to play this character: I . . . feel like Merc may have asked me to/hinted that I should, but I don't really remember. I know I wanted to play a werewolf (already having a vampire in my roster), and I wanted to play someone really mean. My characters up to that point had all been pretty nice, in the "Let's save the world!" mold of Nita and Charles Wallace and Eustace.
I DO know that James Dean got thrown into the mix because when Merc and I were talking about this idea of an alpha wolf leading a motorcycle gang, I had just seen A Streetcar Named Desire for the first time at CMU, and I was very much considering Marlon Brando for the PB. Russ has -- or at least had -- a fair amount of Stanley Kowalski in him. Then I started looking for James Dean pictures, as another iconic bad boy, and found this picture of him on a motorcycle and was sold.
→ my favorite scene or bit of interaction concerning this character to date: Oh man. Um. I loved the kidnap plot like burning. But I also really loved Claire and Russ executing the arsonists.
→ my favorite original aspect about this character (world-building for ocs or head-canon for fcs):His tragic backstory.
→ the last thing they did "off screen": Geez, it's been a while. I know Merc and I decided that he and Gwen are in an off-again stage, due to Russ having been more interested in running the Pack than in spending time with her (ie, he hasn't been around when I haven't been around). Last thing he did off-screen was probably go for a zombie hunt on the outskirts of the city. Chicago is getting more civilized, and his brand of brutality isn't so popular/effective as it used to be.
→ what their last words would be if they died tomorrow: "*snarl*"
→ what the next thing I'm doing for them is (narrative, post, shelving, whatever): Re-reading stuff for this meme makes me want to play him again, so who knows? Maybe a post in the Wasteland this weekend!
