So I'm in this Roots of Rock'n'Roll class, right? Tonight I'm writing a paper on it, on the concept of authenticity, examining particularly Robert Johnson and Woody Guthrie.
We watched this clip of Arlo Guthrie in class the other day, to discuss the idea of what a folk song is. And this just . . . this just makes my heart swell.
