Kim as boy
1/29/09 - the challenge to myself was to draw Kim as looking as androgynous as possible, not to mention skinny. (I tend to draw women with similar limb proportions to myself, and, well, I'm short and I've done eight years of karate. My proportions are odd to say the least.)
I am rather proud of the folds in her shirt. |

Kim as girl
1/29/09 - the other half of the challenge was to then draw Kim as a girl and make her recognizably the same person. I give myself about a 6.5 out of 10 for that objective. I do like this, though, particularly for the folds in her skirt (I'm still getting the hand of those) and her right arm. Her left arm, holding the book, is kind of wonky.
I also quite like her hair. |
Also to come: doodles from note-taking.
