Oh, and quick PSA from [livejournal.com profile] elbales: If you see a "Career Cruising" meme going around, please don't participate or pass it on. It's not a free quiz--it's on a pay site, and by using whoever's login/password it is, you're going to get them into a huge amount of trouble. As [livejournal.com profile] wendymr has pointed out, it's a site for professional career counselors and their clients, and my suspicion is that one of those clients leaked the password, probably to their friends, and it went wild from there. So, you know, for the sake of this poor counselor, please tell people to delete or lock their meme entries or not participate at all. I don't know if the counselor can change his/her password, either.

Er. Yes. Plz to stop spreading the login information?

I was kind of wondering about that since you did have to log in - I thought it might just be so not everyone had to get their own account, but yeah, that's not really surprising.

Though, whoever leaked that info was apparently not to careful with it and may deserve the trouble they get into, but maybe not :\

I think it sounds like a career counseling service or whatever it could be pays a subscription to use the site, and therefore can provide free accounts to their clients or use the information from it to help their clients... something like that - so it won't be charging for every individual person who say, took that quiz, but whoever shared that information made the site accessible to people who haven't paid for it and/or aren't using the services of someone who did. It does sound possible that yeah, a client showed it to a friend, or the client didn't really realize that the people who gave it to them are paying for it, and all of this could come back to screw over whoever assigned that client the account. But yeah, still sucks for that person.

I've been wondering how long it would take for someone to change the log in since everyone was using the same one.
