So.

Mom and Dad just left.

I'm kinda on the emotional side, though I'm getting better. It's funny -- last summer, I figured I'd be so excited to be starting college that I wouldn't mind saying goodbye to my parents, and I certainly wouldn't start crying.

(In a way, I'm glad. I went through a several-year-long period where I Did Not Cry, as a sort of backlash to my childhood where I cried at the drop of a hat. But I seem to have eased into an equilibrium, which I think is good.)

There's some kind of event going on right now, but I have no particular interest in it, and would rather spend the time, oh, taking a shower when the lines aren't long, or setting up a library card, or picking up the package that's apparently waiting for me, or getting a start on working out, or just watching the last two eps of SPN s2 (PERFECT for an emotionally vulnerable state).

ETA: AHAHA. Nothing brightens up the day like getting the last third of your paycheck in the mail. Thank you, ghost_light!

Also another DVD of Antigone! But I bought a copy before I left, so now I have two.

Hunh. I don't think so. I bought a copy right before I left, and got it right then and there.

In my experience, at least, college was when things finally started to get very cool in life.
