SHAKESPEARE GEEKS.
GO FIND A COPY OF THE PLAY "SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD."
DO IT NOW.
Let me lay it out for you. 1933. Warner Brothers is producing a film version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's the first day of shooting.
Oberon and Puck -- after "the longest night of my life," according to Oberon, in which there's been a certain group of Athenian lovers running around his woods -- are transported from the palace to the wrong Wood Outside Athens. Namely, the set on the WB backlot.
HILARITY ENSUES.
It's so good. And Oberon keeps using Shakespeare lines from other shows. So. Yes. FIND AND READ.
