I hate writing "scientific" stuff, because I always end up using
passive voice, and the writer in me starts screaming "Dull! Passive
voice! Passive voice! Boooooriiiiing!
"

Okay, that last bit may just be the student in me. *makes faces at screen*

Entertain me? Drop a comment with conversation or drabble prompts or
whatever; my day once this class is out consists of getting coffee and
then reading about supply and demand. Not very exciting.

Blargh. *further faces at the screen* I have way too many deadlines.
Senior slideshow, peer-taught proposal, and Presidential Scholar --
not in that order. And tomorrow I have an audition, mustn't forget
that.

People really shouldn't invite me to give them drabble prompts, I feel. It's like saying "Entertain me! By making me put forth effort to entertain you!"

But, you know. If you want to. *grin* Ummm. Something involving Charles Wallace and the twins, and winter.

Alternately, give me a prompt, and I'll write you one.

I have a question for you, to work into something I should be writing.

What's your vision of what Nita will be up to in a few years? University? Being a... I forget the term from Tom and Carl's job. Senior wizard, anyway.

Will she be living at home? With Kit? Traveling the world(s?)

INQUIRING MINDS NEED TO KNOW.

Hmmmm.

I haven't got any drabble prompts, but I believe you wanted to do a d_k of ouch at some point, yes?

There's hope! Some of the most sublime writing I've ever come across in my life is by Barry Lopez, who I guess is a biologist/ecologist/nature writer type. I'm reading Arctic Dreams after already having devoured Of Wolves and Men, and he makes my brain happy in oh so many ways.
