Jul. 4th, 2009 04:22 pmWent to see Public Enemies with BFF, because what could be a better way to spend the Fourth of July than watching Johnny Depp, Marion Cotillard, and Christian Bale shooting people in 1930s costumes?
. . . Unfortunately, I can think of a couple things that would've been better, like sitting outside. Don't get me wrong -- Johnny and Christian and Marion are all great, but I wanted to like the movie a lot more than I actually did for a number of reasons. Ah well. I got to spend time with BFF and the movie sparked a nice discussion of feminism between us on the ride home.
It's gorgeous out (again! wtf, Alaska! Keep it up, though!) so I feel a little bad that I'm just sitting around on my computer watching Independence Day rather than going out and enjoying the sun . . . but only a little. Hiiiii Jeff Goldblum. I'm glad you're not dead.
