adiva_calandia: (running down the road)
I felt like veriest crap earlier today -- so tired that I zoned at the crosswalk and nearly missed that the WALK sign had turned on, and vaguely ill a couple times, and just generally not fit for human consumption.

Then Jessica -- one of the girls I teach karate with, and a singer -- called me back about accompanying her on piano for an open mic on May 2nd, and we spent the best part of an hour and a half just now practicing Tom Lehrer's "Masochism Tango," looking up the chords to and playing every song we liked from Once More With Feeling, and discussing the feasibility of putting on the Buffy musical as a cabaret or through Scotch'n'Soda.

And now I have a very tasty looking orange and a very tasty tasting latte, and all I needed to make my cheering-up complete was to finally find a printer that worked so I could get this last form for my financial aid application printed.

ETA: Creative idea I don't want to forget -- doing Antony and Cleopatra in a semi-modern setting with all the messengers' messages conveyed as news reports on TV.

A snippet of what I spent today working on instead of reading Antony and Cleopatra, or anything else academic-related. *shifty*
