. . . I am so tired of the way this Art History class has been going that it's all I can do not to turn in this page on Seurat with nothing but "This is bullshit." on it.

Nngh. I am neither happy with the class that it inspires that sort of attitude in me, nor particularly happy with myself for entertaining that attitude. Go away, attitude. I will finish this class and I will get a goddamn A, you hear?

It just -- frustrates me so much that two of my classes this semester have homework assignments that boil down to expecting us to parrot the prof's opinions back to them. Parroting facts is bad too, but the opinions--

Doesn't help that all I've had to eat today was about a pound and a half of fresh peas. Good peas! Overnighted from Pike Place Market! But not particularly filling.

So I went to a lecture by Marcus Rediker today on his new book, The Slave Ship.

I left feeling nauseated, but I got at least one good thing out of it: Never try to separate scholarship and activism.

And then I did a presentation on Goya, for, you know, a cheerful change. *dry*

I am so tired, but I think I'm gonna try to work out at least for a little while and then sleep.
