*head in hands* This class is terrible for my blood pressure.

Trying to eliminate Saddam, extending the ground war into an occupation of Iraq, would have violated our guidelines about not changing objectives in midstream, engaging in "mission creep," and would have incurred incalculable human and political costs. -- George Bush, Sr., and Brent Scowcroft, A World Transformed (1998) (Full quote)

You know what makes me truly incoherent with wrath? )
adiva_calandia: (running down the road)
. . . I think my righteous rage was running mainly on not having eaten anything all day, plus two lattes, and now I have eaten something and hoo boy am I crashing.

Which is unfortunate, as I have another two pages to write.

Oh, yeah, and there's the small matter of the fact that I was supposed to read Fanny Hill this weekend and didn't even get the book. Sigh. Luckily there are online editions, but I doubt I'll be able to finish it by class tomorrow. --Man, I think I was probably supposed to read a couple acts of Hamlet, too. That one, at least, I'm fine on. I've read/seen Hamlet enough times to understand the lecture.

Anyway. I think I'll take a quick nap and see if that powers me up to finish this paper. Wish me luck.

ETA: I lie; first I'm going to finish watching the last fifteen minutes of Die Hard.

Yippee-ki-yay, muthafuckaaah.
