Dad: I have to go canvass the neighborhood for this Neighborhood Watch thing.
Me: .... *weakly* Great.

(Apparently, there was some kind of prowler in the neighborhood a few months ago -- and not just in the neighborhood, in our backyard. Mom and Dad were less worried by the prowler and more by our neighbor grabbing his .44 and coming into our yard to check things out.

Anyway, now the neighbors want to start a Neighborhood Watch thing.
