Dec. 27th, 2007 03:20 pmMan, I don't even know.
As everyone now knows, Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated in Pakistan. This is terrible and sobering news (and it makes me want to rework my Julius Caesar concept to reflect the event, because Christ, talk about topical).
And then, on the other hand, I went out to the ski slopes with my sister and her Australian today, and we ran around in the snow and dumped it on each other's heads and threw each other into the snow banks and she made a snow octopus and I made a snow Dalek, and we trekked about discussing race and Firefly and making silly puns and pretending to be Balrogs, and.
I don't even know.
I think that in the midst of our world of violence and irrationality and uncertainty -- in the midst of a season of lights in the dark -- taking a little time to drink something hot, to build something out of snow, to admire the scenery, to laugh until you can't breathe, is no bad thing.
