Looking through
Ursula Vernon's art makes me want to write drabbles about all her paintings. I mean, she usually
starts you off with a character study or a world description or whatever. You could just use those as prompts and tell the story that happens outside the frame.
Might make a fun writing challenge comm style thing . . .
. . . AGH, someone stop me. First it was steampunk RPGs and now it's this. I AM A COLLEGE FRESHMAN, I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO MOD A WRITING COMM OF ANY KIND.
My Interp. & Argument instructor, who is made of awesome, is teaching a class next semester called "Pirates, Prostitutes, and Pickpockets." She says she's going to be using a book called
Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash.
HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT.
I am taking it. No question. One of the other 'turgs and I already mentioned it to Doc and he sounded enthused.
My computer is still being an ass. It was freaking out when I plugged in my iPod -- possibly that's just iTunes, though. Anyway, restarting seems to have fixed that. Still no hopeful signs on the external hard drive, though. :\
