Day off! Plans for the day include dropping by the Blood Bank to see what my hematocrit is like, and hopefully donating, then heading over to the bookstore to sit, drink coffee, and write. This is my family: "Hey, we've got a day off work and school Friday. How about we go write?" "OH BOY CAN WE?!" "Wellll, if you're very good for the next week . . ."

I feel like writing some kind of super-self-indulgent fic, like old-school self-insertion or something. I have to work on my Illustrating Poetry stuff, though. Sigh.

Before I do that, though, I'm eying "Asylum" warily. I really want to keep watching SPN, and having been told that I can't skip "Asylum" for love nor money, I don't want to watch out of sequence. But I also really like sleeping . . .

Anyone around for me to flail at, in comments or on AIM?

1) Slept in.

2) Watched "Asylum" and didn't die!

3) Got my first latte in three days, so it hit me like a ton of buzzy bricks.

4) Finished a stanza of "Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" that I am terribly proud of.

5) Eavesdropped on a fascinating conversation in the coffeeshop. Seriously, it sounded like something straight out of a TV show about young creative professionals who hang out in coffeeshops. It was spooky.

6) Donated blood. I always feel like a superhero when I finish donating. All the staff people raving about me being a baby donor helps with that.

ETA: 7) Oh yeah! Came up with two fic ideas, both SPN; one is very much the aforementioned self-indulgent self-insertion, but I feel it has a lot of potential. The other, well . . . You know the Winchester House . . .?

It's been a very good day.
