Dear Body:

Man, you could've waited until I was out of the pristine white gi.

Hormonally,

Me.

Dear College Applications:

. . .

You can stop adding stuff to this pile of to-do things any time. Seriously. I have enough to do for you already without suddenly having to write a "letter describing [my] theatre experience and ambitions in the theatre."

Seriously.

*sobs*

No love,

Me.

Dear Self:

GET A CLUE.

--Me.

Dear LJ:

What the heck is up with the flood of "Out of Ambit" feed posts on my f-list?

Confused,

Me.

Aspen Becca Georgia Lynne Rym et al! I picked up The Summer Tree tonight.

First thought: GGK gets points for including a dramatis personae. *turns page* . . . That's two and a half pages long, but still. My problem with high fantasy books is always keeping all the fancily-named characters straight.

ETA: Before I go to bed. *eying Fionavar OOMs*

Spoilers )

'Kay, bed now, srsly.

*spams*

. . . Plz help. My mother is discovering the Internet.

Mom: *absently* What would I search for if I wanted Shakespeare fanfic?

Me: . . .? Well, there's fanfiction.net. But, um, that's commonly referred to as the Pit of Voles because, um, there's no quality control. *does not mention her own Shakespeare fic on fanfiction.net*

Mom: Oh, okay. So I could just google "Shakespeare fanfic"?

Me: Yeah, I guess. *does the same, curious*

First hit: FanFiction.Net », Just In . C2 . ... A quick reference of all the Shakespeare slash on the site. Please help with the compilation!

Mom: What's "Shakespeare slash"?

Me: Ahm. Ah. Um. Slash is . . . you don't want to read Shakespeare slash. Slash is *mumbles* male/male pairings.

Mom: It's what?

Me: Male/male pairings. Othello/Iago. Antonio/whatever his name is in The Merchant of Venice. It tends to be -- pornographic -- it's hard to find well-written slash.

Mom: Oh, okay. *cheerfully clicks around* . . . Wow, lotta garbage, huh?

Me: Yes. Yes, there is. *watches from corner of her eye*

Mom: *clicks to somewhere else that is not ff.net*

PLZ HELP. At this rate she'll have a MySpace (my parents think I'm on MySpace, and I am happy to let them think that) and be experimenting with emoticons.
