After this mornings 8.8 earthquake in Chile, a tsunami warning is in effect for most of the Pacific coast(s) -- Hawaii, Seward AK, coastal California, Washington, Oregon, New Zealand, Australia . . . the Ring of Fire kind of areas, essentially.
Hawaii's the one of most concern, and authorities are already busily evacuating people to higher ground. It's probably going to be fine. But if you're in any of the affected areas, check in ASAP? And stay out of the water.
