May. 30th, 2008 03:42 pmI hate Safari. I want more coffee.
I am making progress on the mass of unopened/un-dealt-with invoices, ads, etc.
These three statements are true-true-true related.
On the other hand, I love Pandora Radio.
Obligatory Harris-commentary: Freddy Lounds is simultaneously more of
a complete asshole and more intelligent and sympathetic in the book
Red Dragon than in the movie. I wonder how he does in
Manhunter; I shall have to watch that one of these days.
Also -- depending on your definition of the words, Clarice is actually
braver than Will. It's emphasized several times that Will lives with a
lot of fear, of losing what he has and of his empathetic
abilities. Clarice gets scared, sure, but she gets over it and
goes on. Will, on the other hand, lives with it and goes on,
which is different. Personally I would call Clarice brave -- without
fear -- and Will courageous -- in spite of fear -- but that's just me.
Anyway. I leave the office in about twenty minutes and we're headed
out to Homer (yay!). I'll be back Saturday evening, about 6 AK time.
