. . . That's awkward.

The karate club meets in the Skibo Gym and I neglected to find out exactly where that is. And it's not listed on the campus map.

*eyes [livejournal.com profile] varadia* Any hints?

I suppose really I should worry about finishing my homework before 6, first, since having homework done is a prerequisite to going to karate at all.

But really, says my body to myself, I should worry about eating some freaking lunch, self, because that's a prerequisite to THINKING.

*GLEEFUL*

I found production photos from the debut production of Arcadia.

Holy crap does Rufus Sewell look hot. Mmmm, Septimus Hodge a la Byron.

--I was going to say something about you can throw your arms around my side of beef any time but thought better of it. Because if you don't know the show, that's gross, and if you do know the show, then you know the depths of my geekery.

Also, Bill Nighy was in the original production as Bernard Nightingale! How cool is that? I love Bill Nighy. As [livejournal.com profile] buongiornodaisy and I agreed, the best part of PotC3 was the moment when he was himself, and not CGI squidface. Because. Bill Nighy! (Also there's the part where that scene -- along with like half the movie *facepalm* -- BREAKS MY HEART. Oh, Davy Jones, you poor woobie evil squid.)

God, do I love this play. *hugs Arcadia to her chest forever and ever* Thomasina? Definitely on my list of Roles I Would Like To Play. The play as a whole? Definitely on my list of Play I Would Like To Direct.

And, er, I totally do not want to write fanfic about it and its views on entropy. Especially not through a YW lens. I would never do that.

. . . Yeah, yeah, okay. MY INCURABLE GEEKINESS, LET ME SHOW YOU IT. Dramaturg cat will dramaturg for you.

So I was lazy and didn't go to karate (though I practiced katas in the multipurpose room downstairs and got at least one interested passerby).

HOWEVER.

I spent all evening with the other [Adiva] devising pirate costumes, and eventually making a TOTALLY RIDICULOUS tricorner hat out of cardboard and duct tape.

I haven't laughed so hard in months.

There will be pictures on the morrow, once we find someone with a camera.

So much for getting a new pup into the bar tonight. *unrepentant*
