Jan. 22nd, 2007 01:32 pmThis morning, when we tried to get out of the neighborhood to take me to school, we turned down a street and were greeted by the glaring, mothership-like lights of three snowplows in a row.
". . . Uh," we said. "They win," Dad said, and we turned down another street to detour.
And were met by a three-foot-high berm in the middle of the road, blocking our way.
At this point all three of us were snickering hysterically. "They win again!" We turned to drive in the narrow lane next to the berm, to get out along that street.
And were blocked by a car parked next to the berm.
It was probably just because I've been watching Lost, but I started to get the feeling we were being herded somewhere. We turned again, and came to an intersection just as another snowplow came through, with one of its brothers behind it. We darted between them and escaped.
Seriously, who writes this stuff? They're having too much fun.
My schedule this quarter is, how you say, awesome: Screenprinting, "How Stuff Works," Analyzing Movies, nothing, Econ, and nothing. That means I get to Band three times a week, including two block periods. It also means I get a lot of time to do nothing at all. :D Maybe I'll take up weight lifting again.
