Lessee, couple things.

~Got a call yesterday from the Blood Bank asking me to come in and donate again. This still makes me feel like a superhero.

~Went to karate last night and worked hard, and as a result, am sore but satisfied this morning. Er, afternoon. I kinda slept 'til noon. (Buuut before it's dark I'll have every picnic basket that's in Jellystone Park!)

(The above parenthetical was brought to you by my father and his habit of inflicting old TV theme songs on my poor impressionable brain.)

~I'm watching "Moth" and spending a lot of time wincing at Charlie. And waving at Liam. Hi Liam!

~[livejournal.com profile] camwyn points out that Alaska is 48 years old today. Yay us!

Dang. Couldn't donate, because my hematocrit's too low. This is the problem with being vegetarian -- it takes longer than 56 days to get back up to snuff.

Ah, well. I'll take some multivitamins, focus on getting iron and protein in my diet, and go back next week to try again.

In the meantime, I've gotten to the Land of the Dead in my Amber Spyglass reread, and oh. I'd forgotten how hard some of that hits.

(Also, I'm watching "Confidence Man," and Sawyer is an ASS. A damn sexy one, and tougher than hell, but.

Agh, this is a squicky episode to watch. *winces, watches through fingers*)

So this fall, there's college, yeah? College on the east coast.

And my parents went, "Hey, you know, we haven't gone on a cross-country road trip since 1995. Here's a good excuse! [Adiva], you want to learn to drive the RV and drive the Alaska-Canada Highway, right?"

And I went, ". . . Sure!"

And then I went, "DUDE, cross-country road trip!"

So.

The itinerary )

Again, those dates are rough. The locations, however, aren't -- we'll definitely be stopping in each of the places mentioned.

Which means: meet-ups! This is just a heads-up for those of you along the route; dates will be updated as things gets solidified (how's that for non-specificity?). See, I'll be missing the official Millicon '07; so I'll just have to string as much of it across the country as I can.

(In a semi-related vein, Dad and I need music to keep us entertained while we drive through miles and miles of nothing pristine Canadian wilderness. Who has good road-trip songs?)
