Ahahaha the fic I posted earlier has gotten half as many hits and almost as many kudos in the twelve hours or so it's been up as "Callahans" has gotten in the eight months its been up.

So that's why we write in popular fandoms!

Heh yes, I wrote a Les Mis fic in December, not even a main pairing and its one of my fics with the most hits. I think the last one that got that many was my Hannibal-X-Men crossover. Popular fandoms just move at a completely different pace.
