TMI: The continuing comedy of errors that is me avoiding getting a pap smear continues as I start my period literally half an hour before my appointment. HALF AN HOUR. The hell is wrong with you, uterus? I rescheduled for the middle of January because if there is ANY BIOLOGICAL JUSTICE it shouldn't be possible for me to be menstruating in 14 days.
So it's nearly 2014, and I'm actually sad to see 2013 go! This was a good year for me, overall. But I'm looking forward to 2014.
I'm also really looking forward to Yuletide reveals because I can't wait to share with everyone what I wrote! I haven't been going through the archive in any kind of organized fashion, but I've come across a couple of fics -- Yuletide and otherwise -- that I want to rec.
OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. Calvin as a Young Wizards style wizard. His manual is a comic book. He goes on Ordeal and builds snowmen. IT'S PERFECT.
I think I was flailing around at Batya earlier in the year about wizards and weddings, so I was very pleased to see someone jumped on that bandwagon! And this is a) adorable and b) has an awesome transmedia element in the form of Carmela's Pinterest board.
God, fandom, I do love you.
