Guess who managed to pick up paperback copies of The Book of Night with Moon and Stealing the Elf-King's Roses for cheap at the used bookstore yesterday?

That means, if I'm not mistaken, the only thing standing between me and a complete collection of Diane Duane's fantasy on my bookshelf is The Door Into Sunset. (I'm not counting e-books, like The Big Meow or A Wind from the South, because they wouldn't go on my shelf. La la rules lawyering!)

My geekdom is large; it contains multitudes.

(I do also have a copy of Dark Mirror on my shelf -- one of Diane's Star Trek: TNG novels, for the uninitiated -- which I've kept more out of sentimentality than a likelihood that I'll re-read it. I'm just terribly fond of the fact that she couldn't resist referencing the Song of the Twelve in it. Also, terribly fond of mirror!Geordi LaForge and the blatant fanservice of his costume.)

Of course, eventually -- hopefully, Powers willing and the creek don't rise -- A Wizard of Mars will come out and ruin my completeness, but really I can't wait for that day to come. Want, dammit!

Yay for you on the books. The only way I could get my hands on Book of Night With Moon and To Visit the Queen was to order them as used library books off amazon.com (totally worth it, but still).

Oh, sorry about that. I’m bad about forgetting to introduce myself. You probably know me better as [livejournal.com profile] rare_fandom from over at [livejournal.com profile] myriadwords (and occasionally [livejournal.com profile] youngwizards). I sauntered over here looking for a fic some time back and ended up sticking around for the literary geek!posts. Hope you don’t mind.
