A gorgeous photo of a festival to Ganesh in Mumbai.
It is so the weekend. I am SO SO pleased. And I probably have a ton of homework, but I'm going to go get coffee and pastries and relax with some Connie Willis first. I mean, what are Sundays for?
Also, some Wacky College Hijinks:
"--Who the heck is calling me? Hello?"
"Heeey, it's Lauren."
"Hi, what can I do for you?"
"Um, do you know that thing at the end of plays? A [something that sounds vaguely like:]"
"A deus ex machina?"
"YES. Oh, I love you. Do you know how to spell it? A friend of mine needs it for a paper."
"Sure, D-E-U-S . . ."
"Holy crap, you are like the smartest person ever. You have the most amazing memory."
Same person I explained dithyrambs to after our prof had explained them at least twice in class. Seriously, tell me: is paying attention to stuff hard? Do I have a much better brain for trivia than I realized?
