A gorgeous photo of a festival to Ganesh in Mumbai.

It is so the weekend. I am SO SO pleased. And I probably have a ton of homework, but I'm going to go get coffee and pastries and relax with some Connie Willis first. I mean, what are Sundays for?

Also, some Wacky College Hijinks:

"--Who the heck is calling me? Hello?"

"Heeey, it's Lauren."

"Hi, what can I do for you?"

"Um, do you know that thing at the end of plays? A [something that sounds vaguely like:]"

"A deus ex machina?"

"YES. Oh, I love you. Do you know how to spell it? A friend of mine needs it for a paper."

"Sure, D-E-U-S . . ."

"Holy crap, you are like the smartest person ever. You have the most amazing memory."

Same person I explained dithyrambs to after our prof had explained them at least twice in class. Seriously, tell me: is paying attention to stuff hard? Do I have a much better brain for trivia than I realized?

That is a gorgeous picture. And you are definitely brilliant, no question-- but er. *eyes your classmate* Scattered much?

(Also, it's Saturday. You have a whole extra weekend day! Really.)

You know, I learned that term from "Mystery Science Theatre 3000". It was the name of the Satellite of Love's escape pod.

You never know where you're going to find out things. *nods*

She was probably just having a mental block on the words. *nods* That, unfortunately, has been happening more and more of late.
