Good God, in three weeks I leave here and I won't be back until Christmas. Realistically, this is the beginning of a long, drawn-out goodbye.
In three weeks, I won't see my best friend -- any of my old friends -- for months. And I'm not really packed for college, or even for the roadtrip leading up to college, and I don't want to leave. All in all, I'm a little panicky.
Okay, clearly it's time to go get something to eat and see if that'll let me approach this in a constructive way.
[Later] Food helps a little, but not a lot. Crap.

Food helps. Breathing helps. Remembering that there are such things as vacations/emails/AIM/phones helps.
It still is a panicky time for everybody, or at least it certainly was for me. But it's going to go just fine, and you will have a FABULOUS time at college.
And Christmas break is LONG for most schools. *grin* Plenty of time for lots of concentrated hanging out.
