I'd say play them if you find them interesting enough to explore in an RP setting.
Agreed. I was very conscious, when choosing Nirupam, that I was choosing him in no small part to have a non-white character in Milliways. But also he's MADE OF AWESOME, so.
I mean, I have no interest in apping, say, Michael from Lost, just to have a black guy on my cast list, because I don't like Michael. *grin* But I do feel like I ought to put more thought into my OCs, and not assume they're white.
