Honey, wait, I'm on the other phone -- yes, I have the cowbell! We're okay--

If you expressed an interest in going to NYC to catch Rent ([profile] wickedtrue[personal profile] gethenian[profile] raininglight7, I'm looking at you!): Get your butts over here and vote.

Deadline for buying half-price tickets is January 31st. Which makes me all flaily. AGH DEADLINES.

Right. Now I'm going to figure out what I have to read and do this weekend, besides spend most of tomorrow in the library starting my outline for my Goya paper, and then do it. WHOO.

(Overenthusiasm: Adiva's method of choice for staving off the urge to crawl into bed and pull the covers over her head. That, and caffeine. And possibly vintage-clothes-shopping.)

ETA: . . . Can someone explain to me how I manages to lose a half-full bottle of Mountain D-- WAIT.

*checks fridge*

WOW. A GENIUS IS ME. *facepalming repeatedly*

(no subject)

. . . I like how, when I'm stressed over schoolwork and all, my idea of doing something mindless to calm down is watching "Objects in Space" with Joss Whedon's babbling commentary about existentialism in the background.

Character and writing and plot analysis are my anti-drug.

(IT'S ALL SEMIOTICS, GUYS. SERIOUSLY. And existentialism too, yes, but there is a MORE THAN HEALTHY DOSE of semiotics in there.)

Also, this is a) how geeky I am and b) how much meeting Cheryl Cain in Seattle has -- inspired? affected? -- affected me: Her name came up on the credits as Story Editor and I literally fist-pumped.

I really have to figure out a way to send her a fan letter and let her know how much I enjoyed meeting her, man. Any suggestions, oh mighty fen of my f-list?

ETA: Hah! Brilliance -- I went for a free trial on IMDbPro and found her agent's address; alternatively, I found an address for Mutant Enemy. Fan mail ahoy!
